Swamp Walk Annual Fundraiser for Big Cypress National Preserve
/This SOLD OUT event was a huge success that raised over $9000, which will help support the Big Cypress National Preserve’s S.W.A.M.P. education program! Even with reduced capacity, we hosted 16 walks for 138 guests over the two days. CONGRATULATIONS to everyone that attended this amazing weekend at our Big Cypress Gallery.
Thanks to everyone for their willingness to adapt to the restrictions that covid presented. Everyone’s diligence and respect for one another’s health really showed through, and because of that, we feel we put on a fun and safe event for all.
A BIG thank you to the Florida Trail Association, Big Cypress rangers, interns, and volunteers, and the South Florida National Park Trust Ambassadors, and Trustees, for the tireless work you do to make SWAMP happen year after year, and through your efforts introducing countless students to the wonders of Big Cypress.
~ SAVE THE DATE: October 23&24, 2021 for our 8th Annual event. All proceeds from the swamp walks are donated.
